The Humanities Department offers courses and programs that investigate the cultural, social, and scientific contexts that inform contemporary culture. Special emphasis is given to research in the following areas: the study of science, technology, and society; the study of communication; the study of professional ethics; and the study of multicultural and international literature. The department is committed to viewing the humanities as a coherent model for examining human society.
