Learning Beyond the Classroom
The Writing Studio
TheThe Writing Center is a new and free resource for the NJIT Campus Community. We offer one-on-one tutoring sessions to individuals from all disciplines. Our experienced and professional tutors can help you with essay writing, reading comprehension, oral presentations, online learning assignments, job applications, resumes, study skills, or any other projects related to reading, writing, and communication.
Signing up for a meeting at the The Writing Center is easy. Simply go to njit.mywconline.com and follow the instructions for first-time registration. You can book an appointment up to 14 days in advance (note: you must change the 30 minute time default to one hour when you are creating your appointment). If you have any questions while signing up, be sure to stop by during our regular hours. We are open Tuesday to Friday in Cullimore Hall, Room 115 (directly across from the elevators). We close for this semester on April 29th.
Gain Real-World Experience
Opportunities exist for co-ops and internships, which enable students to develop and apply their knowledge and skills in corporate, non-profit and government settings.
Every Communication and Media student is involved in two semester-long co-op work experiences related to his or her area of specialization; every STS student has the same opportunity. Many of our electives are project-based courses, and we offer hybrid and fully online courses that assist in your meeting the heavy scheduling demands of today's student.
